4 must-have new organic body care products

Organic body care products are in greater demand than ever before.

Pregnant women who don't want to risk chemical exposure in their skin care products and potentially harming their unborn baby, those with health issues who want to avoid the toxic chemicals contained in most skin care ranges, and people who simply enjoy living a clean, non-toxic and organic lifestyle are leading the charge.

We've just launched a new range of organic body care products bursting with delicious, nourishing, certified organic ingredients to answer the demand.

All of these products are vegan, cruelty-free and do not contain gluten, wheat or palm oil.

1. BOTANIQUE LOTION - 95% certified organic ingredients

Your skin is probably very thirsty after the dry winter we've just had in Australia and will love you for slathering this lush lotion all over it. Our Botanique Lotion is an all-new formula that moisturises, hydrates, smoothes and protects the skin all over your body.

It contains native Australian extracts including Kakadu plum (nature's highest source of vitamin C), Davidson plum, blue cypress seed and mango seed and is divinely scented with an uplifting blend of desert lime and lemon verbena. Yum!

2. BOTANIQUE WASH – 85% certified organic ingredients

Most soaps have a high pH, which means they're too harsh and drying on the skin. Our new cleansing gel has been pH balanced natural-organic-body-wash-lotionto 5.0, which means it will clean your hands and body without leaving you looking like a lizard. It contains certified organic botanical extracts with a citrusy burst of desert lime and lemon verbena.

For those really trying to minimise toxic chemicals, it is free of sulfates like sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulphate. Sulfates are in 90% of foaming and lathering products are endocrine disruptors, neurotoxins, suspected carcinogens and eye irritants.

Parabens and aluminium are two of the ingredients contained in standard deodorants and antiperspirants that have caused some health concerns, with studies now being done into possible links to breast cancer. To be on the safe side, we believe it's best to use organic body care products that are natural and free of toxic chemicals on the delicate armpit area. But it's hard to find one that actually works!

Our previous roll-on deodorant has transformed itself back to a spray. Whilst I know some of you won't be thrilled, we are because at last we've created an aluminium-free, organic, natural deodorant that offers 24-hour protection. It uses the key ingredient sage blended with organic botanical ingredients and pure essential oils to neutralise body odour and eliminate bacteria. Best of all, it's unisex!

4. Cacao vanilla lip butter – 98% organic ingredients

"OMG I love the new vegan lip balm. It is delicious!!! I can't stop smelling or using it. I am in heaven." We couldn't have said it any better than Rebecca, one of our first clients to try our new lip butter. Last year, we discontinued our highly popular macadamia and honey lip balm because we wanted to go fully vegan and had to remove the honey and beeswax. We know we disappointed some long-time fans so we hope we've made up for it with this gorgeous new lip butter. Like our previous lip balm, it is seriously good enough to eat – which is a good thing.

Standard lip balms are one of the most toxic cosmetics around, full of petrochemicals and potentially carcinogenic preservatives, colours and fragrances. It's difficult to say how much of it we ingest from lip balm and lipstick, but if you use it regularly and lick your lips, chances are you are swallowing it. So, don't eat petroleum jelly in your lip balm – instead moisturise your lips with the nourishing butters of cacao and coconut kissed with a touch of pure vanilla. Delish!
