RETINATUREL
Retinal (retinaldehyde) is a retinoic acid precursor, which is formed as an intermediate metabolite in the transformation of retinol to retinoic acid in human keratinocytes. In the skin, retinal is metabolised to retinoic acid as well as to retinol and retinyl esters (which generally get depleted during photoaging), which is why it is incredibly effective in the treatment of signs of ageing and skin disorders. Moreover, metabolism of retinal to retinoic acid occurs only by keratinocytes at a pertinent stage of differentiation, leading to a more controlled delivery of retinoic acid and weaker retinoid associated adverse effects as compared to tretinoin and other synthetic retinoids.

BURITI
High in concentration of antioxidants, natural beta-carotene (vitamin A), it protects the skin against photo-damage and maintains healthy skin cells by protecting the cell membrane. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and contains vitamins E, C and A promoting excellent emollient properties, that work to rebuild, moisturise and rehydrate skin cells.

Rosehip is one of the best anti-aging oils and ideal for skin tissue renewal, by increasing collagen and skin elasticity. It contributes in combating free radicals and protects the skin from premature ageing. These properties are attributed to its high concentration in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and fatty acids.

Co Q10 (Ubiquinone) is a nutrient and fat-soluble substance that plays an essential role in cellular function as an antioxidant. It nourishes and reinforces the skin replenishing the natural lipid barrier and preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Research shows beneficial effects include diminished signs of wrinkle depth and visible signs of photoageing.

Use morning or evening after cleansing. May be used in conjunction with Age Defiance Night Serum. Press 2-4 drops gently onto face, neck and décolletage areas and allow to absorb. Safe to use in the presence of sunlight or if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Frequency of usage will vary based on how your skin reacts to Vitamin A. If using daily, this serum should last up to 90 days.

Avoid If

Whilst the botanically sourced retinal in our Vital A serum is safe to use whilst pregnant or breastfeeding & does not cause skin sensitivities when exposed to UV, some other forms of Vitamin A may not be suitable for sensitive skin, during pregnancy or breastfeeding. As with introducing any new skincare product, we always recommend doing a patch test first. If your skin does not react, you can incorporate the Vital A into your routine. How often you use it varies based on how your skin responds to it, and it's advised to incorporate slowly, starting at once every few days. If irritation occurs at any point, discontinue use immediately.
