How To Use

Directions

After cleansing and applying serums, dispense several pumps of Solar Veil and warm between fingertips. Gently press and massage into the face, neck and décolletage ensuring the outer edge of the face and ears are included. Allow to fully absorb.

Apply 15–20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply as needed during sun exposure for continued skincare benefits, and more often after swimming, towelling or sweating.

Suitable for daily outdoor wear. Do not rely solely on sunscreen as your only form of sun protection.

Why SPF30 and not 50?

SPF30 already blocks around 97 % of harmful UVB rays, while SPF50 increases that by only about 1 % to 98 %. It’s a modest gain that often requires more heavier formulations with more chemical filters.

SPF30 is classified as High protection. At Mukti, we favour SPF30 for its excellent everyday protection, skin-friendly feel, and lighter formulation, without unnecessary chemical filters.

Additionally, in COSMOS-certified organic formulations, only mineral-based UV filters (non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) are permitted. These are trusted, clean, and effective, supporting both skin health and environmental responsibility.

Is non-nano zinc oxide safe and effective?

Yes, non-nano zinc oxide is a safe and effective sunscreen ingredient, and is one of only two mineral UV filters approved globally for use in sunscreens. It is permitted under COSMOS Organic standards and provides reliable, broad-spectrum protection by forming a physical barrier on the skin’s surface.

What is the difference between mineral filters vs. chemical filters?

Mineral filters are inert, photostable, and mostly sit on the skin’s surface. Zinc oxide offers full UVA and UVB coverage, making it a reliable choice. Chemical filters are organic compounds that absorb UV and release it as heat. Some can degrade in sunlight, cause irritation, or impact the environment, so most formulas blend several to achieve broad-spectrum protection. In COSMOS certified organic formulations, only permitted UV filters can be used, such as non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

Is it TGA-approved?

Solar Veil is, first and foremost, a daily moisturiser – its primary function is hydration, which means it’s classed as a cosmetic secondary sunscreen in Australia and not required to be TGA-listed. I first tried the sunscreen

"I first tried the sunscreen moisturizer spf 30 about a month ago. I have 67 yr old sensitive skin and was hoping it would work for me. At first it felt like my skin had a plastic cover on it, but eventually my skin adjusted and now it feels much better. I have not had any reaction and am very pleased about that. SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures how well a sunscreen helps filter UVB rays – the ones responsible for causing sunburn. SPF30 filters around 1% less than SPF50 (97% compared to 98%) – a marginal difference despite the larger number. SPF50 formulations typically require a higher concentration of UV filters, which can feel heavier on the skin. We chose SPF30 for a balance of high-level daily support, comfortable wear, and compatibility with a certified organic formulation.
Is this product ok to use for rosacea prong skin?: Hi Lisa - this formula was designed to work with sensitive skin types, however every skin is different so if you're unsure how your skin might react I would recommend purchasing a sample size first :)
Does this replace or how is this different to the SPF15 moisturizer/sunscreen you already have?: Our previous daily moisturiser offered SPF15 and a lovely texture, but we knew we could do better (and we received many requests for a higher SPF!).
